METHOD is a relativistic multi-dimensional, multi-fluid ElectroMagnetoHydroDynamic solver built and maintained by Alex Wright under the guidance of Dr Ian Hawke. METHOD was developed to investigate the models of MHD used to model neutron star mergers.

The RSG was brought in to add additional parallelism to the code, that would allow the code to utilise multiple CPUs and multiple GPUs in a single run. This will allow significantly larger systems to be modelled in less time, making it possible draw broad statistical conclusions by running many high resolution simulations that cover the parameter space.
